Currently we have an opening for a Project/Process(Field) Engineer in our Permian Basin (Midland area) location.
Job Purpose
- To be responsible for the overall design and performance of crude oil reclamation facilities
Job Duties
- Ensure plant technical requirements are properly incorporated in the engineering deliverables
- Design, analysis and/or specification of tank batteries, heat exchangers, piping, centrifuges, valves, washout systems, stream system, blower, and rotation machinery
- Develop equipment layouts to ensure ease of operation and maintenance access while minimizing implementation costs. Design and/or recommend changes to plant electrical and mechanical systems to elevate bottlenecks
- Design and analysis of structural components including skids and platforms
- Maintain equipment lists and review and provide input on P&ID’s
- Ensure that the equipment meets all safety codes and regulations, engineering codes and requirements, and cost budgets as specified by the project design documents without deviation
- Function as the primary engineering point of contact for all regional projects with the responsibility and authority for all technical functions of the equipment.
- Manage and facilitate communication across the engineering functions to ensure that the project objectives and needs are met
- Provide technical engineering support during project installation and commissioning of equipment
- Support regional operations in an effort to maximize earnings via continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure good engineering practices are followed at all times during new system design, implementation or system augmentation
- Recommend appropriate instrumentation and control systems to maximize automated processes
- Ensure plant systems are maintained in safe working condition.
- Assist local maintenance personnel with equipment repairs as necessary. Investigate high failure rate situations. Ensure an adequate QM program exists and is being followed
- Prepare construction bid package documents. Identify / establish relationships with local contractors, vendors and/or supply houses to ensure competitive pricing, minimal lead time and high quality work
- Establish and maintain an expert level working knowledge of all plant systems
Requirements / Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, BSME or BSChE preferred.
- Five plus years of design experience with some experience working as an engineer in a process oriented capacity
- Effectively utilize/operate CAD software
- Working knowledge of ASME and OSHA codes and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Regional Travel throughout the Permian Basin
